The conductivity meter has strong environmental adaptability, LCD display, simple operation and excellent test performance, which makes it has a high cost performance ratio. It can be widely used in thermal power, chemical fertilizer, metallurgy, environmental protection, pharmaceutical, biochemistry, food and tap water and other solutions for continuous monitoring of conductivity values.
The conductivity meter simplifies functions while ensuring performance, thus offering a particularly strong price advantage. When paired with electrodes of constant 1.0 or 10, it can measure the conductivity of general liquids; when equipped with electrodes of 0.1 or 0.01, it can accurately measure the conductivity of pure water or ultrapure water, making it especially suitable for online continuous monitoring of high-purity water such as boiler feedwater and steam condensate in power plants.

When measuring beyond the measurement range listed in the table above, the error will increase. When the dielectric conductivity value is > 100 μS/cm, it is appropriate to measure with a platinum black electrode with a constant of 1.0 or 10 to increase the effective area, so that the current density on the electrode surface is significantly reduced, so as to effectively weaken the electrode polarization effect that is prone to occur when the medium is a concentrated solution.
1.The electrode constant set in the instrument shall be consistent with the constant marked on the electrode. If the electrode constant marked on the distribution electrode is 0.102, the electrode constant set in the instrument shall be 0.102.

According to the size range of the conductivity of the water sample to be measured, selecting an electrode with the right constant is the key to accurate measurement. Especially for the measurement of pure water (< 3 μS/cm) and ultrapure water (< 1 μS/cm), the electrode of 0.1 or 0.01 should be used, and a closed measuring groove should be added if necessary to achieve accurate measurement, otherwise a large error will occur.
The basic principle of selecting electrodes: According to the size range of the conductivity of the water sample to be measured, refer to the table below to select an electrode with an appropriate constant. When selecting an electrode, the error that is prone to occur is "selecting an electrode with a large constant to measure low conductivity". If you choose a 1.0 electrode to measure a water sample < 3 μS/cm, it is impossible to obtain an accurate value. Because the conductivity of a low-conductivity medium is very poor, if you use an electrode with a large constant to measure, you will only get a weaker and unstable electrical signal, which will greatly increase the measurement error.
